Founded in Dallas, Texas in 2002, BreakAway Sports Marketing is a full-service marketing agency consisting of a small group of handpicked sports marketing professionals who specialize in matching clients visions with sports, events, and marketing properties to create strong, sustainable ties between consumers and those brands.

Our primary focus is event marketing and public relations in the sports world.

Our clients are both corporate and sports organizations.

Ray Mallouk @ BreakAway Sports Marketing


Ray Mallouk is the co-founder of BreakAway Sports Marketing. With more than 25 years of integrated sports and entertainment marketing experience, Ray has developed and managed national programming initiatives for some of the world’s premier brands including Dr Pepper, Siemens, Werner Ladder, ADT Security Services and Sears.

Over the years Ray has worked with a variety of sports and entertainment properties including the NCAA (Men’s and Women’s Final Four), College Football Playoff, NHL, Olympics, US Soccer, MLB, ESPN Events and the Academy of Country Music Awards. He is also a guest lecturer for the SMU and University of Kansas Sports Management Program.

Ray earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas and MBA with a concentration in Marketing from San Francisco State University. Prior to founding BreakAway, Ray worked in marketing for the San Francisco Giants.

Charley Green @ BreakAway Sports Marketing


Charley Green founded BreakAway Sports Marketing with Ray Mallouk in 2001. With more than 26 years of sports marketing and public relations experience, Charley has managed initiatives for clients including Sears, Werner Ladder, The V Foundation, Dasani Water, Dr Pepper and ADT Security Services. He has worked with many properties including the NCAA, Bowl Championship Series/College Football Playoff, NBA, WNBA, MLB, NHL US Soccer and ESPN.

Charley continues to work media operations at major local sporting events including SMU and TCU football/basketball, the NBA Finals, Alamo Bowl and Armed Forces Bowl. He has been a guest speaker for the SMU Sports Management program.

A graduate of the University of Texas, Charley has also worked at the University of Florida, SMU, the Southwest Conference and the Texas Rangers Baseball Club.
